Yup, another one from good ol' Bull Valley.
this one concerns a mansion of sorts set far back enough into some woods where you can barely make it out. It's still quite formidable looking, regardless.
Story:
It is said that this mansion belonged to a man who collected weapons; hand guns, shotguns, etc. Somehow, (story dimmed over time, this was also heard in 1997, see 'house with no corners' for accompaning tale) he shot this lady who lived with him, then turned the weapon onto himself.
Tales abound about this mansion and the woods surrounding it. I get chills everytime I tell this one, cuz it was just freaky. Bull Valley itself is freaky. I digress....
Experience and Analysis:
We go up there, same night as the 'house with no corners', (right up the same road, convenience lovin' us). We park along side the road and get out. There is a long, dark drive going back to the house. About 15 feet from the road, there is a huge gate. About 2 feet behind that gate is ANOTHER gate, a little taller and more ominous looking.
We spend a bit of time, peering into the dark woods, talking quietly amongst ourselves, when we hear something that sounds like a dim firecracker. time passes, we hear it again, but louder.
Locals.....yeah. Locals.
NOT locals. We hear it again, and it's definitely a weapon firing. Of course, we're all ready to get in the car get the holy heck out of there. We head toward the car, and there comes this crashing sound from the wood, like someone is running through it. An even louder shot sounds, and we hear this wailing scream .... okay, cue chills right about now... I hate this... we hear this wailing scream start from the right and move across the driveway to the right... no one in sight.
NO ONE.
Back then, my friends and I were just a bunch of curious ghost hunters who had noting on us really. Now that we have proper equipment, oh god yeah we're going back. If we can document what happened and have it more than just word of mouth, that would be incredible. For now, though, take the above as a real strange tale.
